This is how the Taiwan court system works. Our paperwork is submitted to the court and it usually takes 1-3 months for a hearing to be scheduled. This means we're moving along quickly because it took only a month to get a hearing date. Yea!!!
At the hearing, the judge will look at our case and determine whether more information is needed or he can go forward with the adoption. The 1st ruling usually follows 1-3 months after the hearing. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed that all of our documents are in order and the judge realizes that Lexie will be in a good home with a family that loves her and he makes his decision quickly.
If we don't hit any bumps in the road, my guesstimate is that we may be going in October to bring Lexie home!!!
