Ballet Fun!

At the end of July, Lexie finished her "Me and My Shadow" dance class.  There were lots of things that she really improved on and some things still need to be worked on when she moves to the next level of dance.
Lexie has mastered her ballet pose!
She knows how to express her feelings while she dances!
She loves having her best friend in her class.  Alia is a great listener and always follows directions.  I wish some of that would rub off on Lexie!

Big improvement in stretching!
One of Lexie's favorite stretching songs is "Do You Know the Muffin Man?"  She loves singing that song and doing the motions.

Lexie loves the freeze game.  She runs and screams and then pretends she's a statute.
She likes to sing, "I'm a Little Teapot" but hates to dance to that song.  When it comes time to tip over, she usually plops herself on the floor and lies there.  This day, she decided to pose and stare at herself in the mirror.
She loves when they pretend to be a ball and make their bodies really small.
I love these two cuties as they giggle and look at themselves in the mirror.  Even though they were supposed to be dancing with the rest of the class.
Lexie will start a combination class of ballet, tap and tumbling soon.  She's already loving wearing her tights and tap shoes.

  1. She looks like she's right in her element there! I'm sure she'll love the combo class too. I remember taking one of those when I was a kid!
