A Star is Born
Lexie's Mini Movers dance class had a Halloween performance on the big stage at the mall. We were nervous at first to let Lexie participate because she's not the most focused child in her class, but we thought, why not, Lexie loves dancing and whatever she does, it'll still be cute. Right before we were about to leave home, Lexie told us, "I'm not going on the stage and I don't want to dance!" And pretty much had a tantrum and didn't want to leave the house. After much coaxing, we headed to the mall.
Once we got there and she put her costume on, her attitude changed. When I dropped her off with her friends, she hugged me and was fine.
As soon as she got on stage, she was waving to everyone.

During rehearsals, Lexie was not always following the choreography, but this time, she was very serious. She was waiting for the music to start. They danced to the Addams Family theme.
She wasn't always on cue, but she was tapping, dancing and jumping and having a great time Her expressions were priceless.
And whenever she could, she would wave and smile. Lexie knows how to work the crowd!
It's funny because the group started off in a line and somehow our little show stealer ended up front and center! We were so proud of how well Lexie did! We can't wait for her next show.
Thank you grandma and Uncle Les for coming to watch Lexie dance.
Lexie wants to be a dancer just like her cousin Taryn!
Thank you to Aunty Yvette and Uncle Brian for coming to Lexie's show and taking us out for a yummy dinner.
Lexie was happy that Nana came to watch her dance. She hopes that Papa can come the next time!

Pumpkin Picking
We went pumpkin picking with Lexie's best buds.
At this farm, you can cut your own pumpkins off the vine. Lexie picked this little green guy.
The whole time we were there, all she could think of was playing in the Mickey Mouse bouncy house.
Lexie loves to bounce!

And she loved climbing up the ladder and sliding down.
They had a beautiful sunflower field.
The sunflowers were huge!
We wish our sunflowers at home were this big!

Cutest Pumpkin in the Patch
It's pumpkin time again! Three years ago, a little corn farm opened up a pumpkin patch. Each year, they have added more activities for the kids and it's gained a really nice reputation, which means it's gotten very crowded. Last year, it poured on us and we were covered in mud. We were worried that this year would be the same, but the weather held. Just a few sprinkles here and there.
Lexie and her best friend Savannah had fun riding the cow train.
Lexie's favorite part is always the animals. She couldn't wait to go inside the petting area.
She got to feed some sheep.
Lexie got a kiss from a donkey!
We fed a baby goat.
These two animal lovers could have spent the whole day in there.
Lexie couldn't believe how big this turtle was. Our pet turtle is so tiny compared to this guy!
She fed this giant pig.

There was a boy feeding the donkey and Lexie was watching him. When he left, he gave Lexie the last of his food so she could feed the donkey. I thought that was such a sweet gesture.
Lexie had a ball chasing the chickens. She really wanted to catch one. One day we'll have to visit her dear friend in Dallas who has some chickens of her own.
No pony rides today, but the girls got to play on a saddle.
We finally got the girls out of the petting area and headed to the patch to look for some pumpkins.
There were so many pumpkins to choose from. Lexie saw a movie about a square pumpkin named Spookley, so she was on the lookout for a square pumpkin. When she was shown a pumpkin that kind of looked like a square, she said, "That's not a square, it's shaped more like a cylinder!"
We didn't find a square pumpkin, but Lexie got a little one to take home.
And daddy found a huge pumpkin, that probably weighs more than Lexie. The weather is so hot here, that the pumpkin is already starting to get moldy and we haven't even carved it yet.
So far, this is turning into a great Halloween season. Lexie is so excited about pumpkins, trick or treating and dressing up in a costume!

Yay for Fall!
What's nice is that I get a week off in October and I can spend time with my Lexiebug. The week went by very fast and most of it was going to appointments that can't be done because I'm working. We were able to squeeze in some fun time. One of them was going to the zoo. We always have to go to the zoo at least once when I'm on vacation.
Lexie got to see a leopard.
There were three animals that Lexie wanted to see. We thought the day was going to be a bust because the monkeys and elephants weren't in their exhibits, but luckily the giraffes were out. So she got to see one of her 3 favorites!
We visited the Discovery Center and Lexie was so excited that Taryn was going to meet us there.
It was very hard to get Lexie away from this huge water table. This was the rain forest room and it showed how fishes and animals swim down a river. She would have been happy to spend the day here.
Then her best buddy Nolan joined us. Lexie was in heaven! She has a little crush on Nolan and who wouldn't, he's smart, sensitive and very cute!
Lexie learned how to keep her teeth clean.
She might be opening up her own restaurant when she gets older.
I think they were sliding out of the stomach.
Riding The Bus!
Lexie loves to be the center of attention. There's a stage with working lights and children can control the sounds effects. Lexie dressed as a ladybug and performed for us.
Our sweet Taiwan Ohana!
At 3 1/2, Lexie already knows that this machine will give out money. We need to hide those bank cards!
This is one of Lexie's favorite toys. She always needs to play with it. It's a huge lighted table with magnet shapes.
The last time, daddy had to hold Lexie up on this pole. This time, she climbed up by herself and was able to hang on.
Lexie was planting pineapples.
Lexie said she wanted to go to Disneyland.
Our favorite place to play because this room celebrates Lexie and her friends' cultural heritage. They were pretending it was the moon festival and ate moon cakes, noodles and dim sum.
We don't have much in the way of fall weather, so no apple picking for us. Lexie had to be happy with a wooden tree and velcro apples to pick.
Aren't they the cutest little pumpkins!
Lexie loves binoculars. She makes pretend ones at home with paper towel rolls.
Mommy, look I found a slide!
Did you know girls can drive a forklift?
The bigger the bubble, the better!!
Lexie was thrilled to be able to spend the day with her two favorite people!
And Lexie also loves her furry brother Maxx. Lexie loves him so much and even though she says he has stinky breath, she gives him lots of hugs. Maxx is getting old and is a little deaf, but he is so gentle with Lexie. He kisses her and will look for her when she's hiding.
