Celebrating the Moon

We had a small celebration in honor of the Autumn Moon Festival.  We want to keep Lexie's cultural traditions alive, but it was also a time for us to get together with close friends and just to have some fun.
Lexie and her friends made lanterns to see the moon outside.  Unfortunately, since our party was a few weeks early, the moon was still only a sliver.
Lexie loves a good art project, especially if they involve stickers.
We put glow sticks inside the lantern to make it light up.
We got to eat delicious desserts and Lexie's favorite is the moon cake.
Aunty Tiffany read the children the story about the lady in the moon.  She is such a wonderful storyteller that the kids were very attentive through the whole story.
I'm so grateful to the wonderful country of Taiwan because that is where my precious Lexiebug was born, but it also gave me two of my best friends, who we consider part of our family.
Lexie took her lantern outside to see the moon.
