Three Years Ago...

Three years ago, we arrived on a crowded street in Taiwan.  We walked through alleys to get to Chung Yi, which was where we would be meeting our sweet Lexie for the first time.

This little girl has brought such love, laughter and craziness into our lives.  We are so thankful for Lexie because she made us a family!

Usually, I share how Lexie has grown over the past year, but I decided to let Lexie tell you a bit about herself.  

Favorite color:  yellow

Favorite toy:  pokey ball

Favorite TV show:  Clifford

Favorite fruit:  pear

What do you like to eat for lunch?  Sandwich toast

What's your favorite outfit to wear?  Polka dots

Game:  rings

Snack:  fruit snacks

Favorite animal:  Cow

Favorite song:  Magnify (from Sid the Science Kid)

Favorite book:  the doggie one (don't know which one she's talking about)

Best friend:  Thumper

Favorite cereal:  green, orange (she's talking about Fruit Loops)

What do you like to do outside?  Play

Favorite drink:  water

What's your favorite sport?  She said, "Forks, sport!  They rhyme!"

Favorite dessert:  cupcakes

What do you like to eat for breakfast?  Toast

Favorite movie:  Nemo

Favorite shape:  rectangle

Favorite number:  8  (she's very feng shui)

What holiday do you like?  Trick or treating

Favorite store:  crayon place

What do you want to do today?  Play

What do you want to be when you grow up?  Mommy  (That brought tears to my eyes!)

What do you dream about when you're sleeping?  Thumper

What do you do when you wake up?  Watch my phone.

What do you like to do with mommy?  Play puzzles and paint.

What do you like to do with daddy:  Play with lego.

Who is a famous person you would like to meet?  She points to herself and says, "Me, of course!"

Where do you want to go today?  Costco

What makes you happy?  Thumper

What makes you sad?  She sat and thought for awhile and couldn't think of anything, which makes me happy that nothing makes her sad!

What makes you mad?  Gohan (that's our little doggie who growls and nips at Lexie, but will follow her around and always wants her to feed him)

What makes you scared?  Monsters

What do you want for Christmas?  A dinosaur with bumps.

What do you want to learn how to do?  Ride a bike.

What are you good at?  Rolling (and I will add, jumping!)

Why do you love Maxx?  Maxx is a good boy.

What's your favorite thing about going to Nana's house?  Brownies

What do you love about Daddy?  He plays with me!

What do you love about Mommy?  I love playing with you, too!

Lexie just had her annual check up with her cardiologist.  The device they put in to repair the hole in her heart is firmly in place and there's no leakage.  She is a healthy little girl!

We are truly blessed to be the mommy and daddy of this sweet girl!  We love you, Lexiebug!
