I can't believe another summer is over. I'm back in school now, but as I look back at all of these pictures, we did do a lot in 2 months. We did a lot of things at home because the weather wasn't the best summer weather. We had lots of rain and even thunderstorms. Lexie sometimes spent the days using her itouch. She is really good now at figuring out games and how to watch videos. She's not too crazy about the headphones, but we needed to get her used to them for when we ride the airplane.

Lexie loves to help around the house. She helped to dust her pictures. The one with the flowers is her favorite. It's mine too because we took that picture on my 1st Mother's day with Lexie.

Last year we planted a tree in honor of my grandmother. Lexie's middle name comes from my grandma. We planted gardenias because they were her favorite flower. The tree kept growing but no flowers. Then at the start of the summer, we saw some buds and finally they bloomed. This tree has grown taller than Lexie.

Daddy bought Lexie an Elmo balloon, even though it was $10. Lexie played with it for a long time and it's almost a month later and Elmo is still floating around our house. Of course, daddy finds things to do with Elmo.

Lexie wished her grandma a happy birthday!

We had lunch with Nana on her birthday.

Lexie made s'mores with Aunty Yve and Taryn and got her first taste of marshmallows.

Lexie loves animals. We went to the 4-H Fair and she was so thrilled to see the farm animals. She loved the goats and the miniature pony.

Lexie loves rides. She and daddy went on the swings.

Lexie loves to ride the train at the mall.

Using sidewalk chalk for the first time!

Lexie always wants to slide. Everytime we're in the car, she gets excited when we pass a playground. She also loves to play in our yard and Mikki came over and Lexie showed her that she could ride the big swing.

Lexie always asks if we're going to the beach. That's her favorite thing to do and my least favorite. I'm not a sand person which is crazy since I live on an island. But I would do anything for my baby, so when it wasn't raining, we went to the beach.

Looks like you guys had a busy summer! I love the photo of Lexie and her dad on the swing - ADORABLE! Can't wait to meet you all in just 4 days!
ReplyDeleteThat Elmo photo is a riot! What a jam-packed summer too! You guys have done so many fun things. (I'm not a sand person either by the way, so I try to stay in the water as much as I can!) You guys must start school early, huh? Our kiddos start at the end of the month.
