Where Did August Go?

So many things happened in August, but going back to school kind of got in the way, so I'm going to have to play catch up on what we've been doing.  Lexie hasn't started preschool yet, so I've been bringing home extra worksheets for her to do.  I'm pretty impressed that my 3-year old is doing kindergarten work.  She has great fine motor skills and her counting and number recognition are awesome.
We celebrated my birthday and I loved Lexie's one-of-a-kind wrapping paper that she made for my present.  We had a fun day together eating lots of yummy foods.  We went to my favorite Japanese restaurant and ate way too much.  Then, we went to get chocolate eclairs.  Way better than any birthday cake!!
Lexie started her tap, tumbling and ballet class this month.
Lexie loves to dance, but is learning how to follow directions.
She is learning to stay in her space.  Lexie will stay on the bar for a few minutes, tap with the class, then she's running around the room.  Her teacher will usually have to bring her back to the bar.  She has been put in time out a few times because of this.
Lexie loves learning the different types of movements and if you tell her bear walk, camel, or elephant, she knows exactly what to do.  I guess I should be grateful that even though it doesn't seem like she's paying attention, she is hearing what she's supposed to be doing.
Lexie is also starting to participate more.  She'll raise her hand and even speak when she's called on.  There are still times, she'll just raise her hand because everyone else is raising theirs.
Lexie has gotten really good at doing the rocking horse.  The first time, she yelled out, "I can't do it!"
After her dance class, we got to have dinner with Lexie's favorite cousin.  Lexie loves Taryn so much and always wants to spend time with her, so she was very happy to see Taryn.  And we finally got to meet her boyfriend Skyler.
