Happy 1st Birthday, Lexie!!!

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!! Daddy and Mommy love you so much! We are so happy that you are our daughter and we can't imagine life without you. We're very excited to watch you grow up and we're just amazed at how much you've accomplished in the short time you've been with us!

We will be eternally grateful to Lexie's birth mom. We know it must have been a difficult decision for her and while we are celebrating today, she might be having some doubts and wondering if she made the right choice. We hope that she knows we love Lexie with all of our heart and soul. She is truly our daughter in every sense of the word.

Lexie is now taking her first steps. She can walk about 9 steps on her own. We call her Frankenstein because she doesn't bend her legs and she moves really slow. She's very determined and even though she falls, she stands right back up and tries again. She's also like Spiderman, she can hold on to the side of a wall and she walks around most of the house.

She's a speed crawler. When she wants something, she moves with lightning speed. Whenever we open the refrigerator, she is right there and sometimes she's crawling through our legs to get into the fridge. It's also funny when she's touching something she shouldn't be. We say her name, then she drops the object and bolts off into the opposite direction. If we say, "I'm going to get you!", she starts laughing and crawls really fast to run away.

Lexie has the cutest laugh. When she thinks something is funny, she laughs at the top of her lungs. Then, she has her fake laugh, which just cracks us up.

Lexie continues to love Maxx. She will lie by him and loves to pet him and is learning not to pull his hair out. Gohan, on the other hand, has a love/hate thing with her. He will growl at her and has even snapped at her, but Lexie just thinks it's funny and will start laughing. She just follows Gohan around and takes his toys and rolls on him. But whenever Lexie is drinking her bottle or she's lying down, Gohan wants to lie by her. He's such a strange little guy, it's as if he wants to control his relationship with Lexie. I'll go by you when I choose to!!

Lexie takes after her daddy. She loves to eat ramen and pasta. She got a little lick of ice cream too. Lexie is still a great eater. She loves meal time.

Her favorite shows is still "Sid the Science Kid". She gets so excited when she hears the music. She also watches her "Baby Can Read" everyday. She can't read the words YET, but she does everything they say. When they say, "arms up", she puts her arms up. When they say "mouth", she opens wide and says "aahhh". It's so cute to watch her.

Lexie got some birthday figurines from grandpa. He's been spoiling her by sending her so many presents. He already has another package in the mail.

We got Lexie a Jimbo puppet from her Gymboree class. She loves it because it hides in the cone and she makes her surprised face when he pops out. Also, we got her a little pool for our new yard. It has a waterfall and a slide. We hope to use it soon!
