The birthday girl woke up with a runny nose, but she was still in good spirits, especially when she saw her Hello Kitty balloons.

Lexie had a birthday blueberry muffin for breakfast. She was really good at blowing out the candles.

Yummy, she really loves her blueberry muffin!

We went to the aquarium and Lexie was being such a silly girl.

Since Lexie turned 2, she decided that she wanted to walk. It was actually nice not having to push the stroller around.

I just love seeing Nemo. It was amazing how they swim within the sea anemone.

Lexie wanted to get up and personal with all of the fishes. If there was something to climb on so that she could smash her face into the glass, she was on it or telling us to put her up there.

This undersea world was such an amazing thing for Lexie to see.

And she was just ecstatic to see a purple fish. She kept yelling "purple" because that's her favorite color.

The octopus is such a weird looking creature, but they sure taste good on sushi.

Jellyfish are so cute, but I wouldn't want to be stung by one.

These fishes look like they could have Lexie for breakfast. The glass actually makes them look bigger than they really are.

Lexie got to touch a hermit crab in the tide pools.

I'm so proud of Lexie and how much she has learned and accomplished in the past year. She is definitely not my little baby anymore.

We went for a birthday lunch at a new restaurant where Hello Kitty is the main attraction.

Doesn't Kitty look like a huge chocolate candy? Yummy enough to eat!

The restaurant served a buffet with lots of Lexie's favorites like noodles, pizza, toast, fried shrimp, potstickers, and good stuff for mom and dad too. We loved the sushi, teppanyaki station and crabcakes.

There were lots of Japanese pastries to choose from. Lexie had a chocolate cupcake.

She only ate the whipped cream on top of it.

Then, she wanted the whipped cream from my cupcake.

We hope you had a fun day Lexie because mommy and daddy loved being able to spend the day with you. Happy birthday sweetheart!

Oh my gosh, for some reason her legs look so long all of the sudden! I know that must be a trick of light or the just the high chair or something!!! Cuz otherwise please tell Miss Lexie no more growing for a just a bit, so all of her fans can get used to it first!!! Pretty please??? :)
