Yay for Long Weekends!

I was getting Lexie withdrawals being back at work, but luckily we had a holiday and furlough day which meant a 4-day weekend. We decided to keep our promise to our sweetie pie and took her to the beach. We got this really cool wagon (just like Aunty Debbie's) that fit everything. Beach chairs, towels, a noodle, our breakfast, and there was even space for Lexie to ride comfortably. When she was done with her breakfast, she just wanted to sit in the wagon. It was just too comfy!
It was a beautiful sunny day. This lagoon was perfect for Lexie. The water was very calm and shallow. Lots of fishes swimming around, but it was cold. Lexie's poor lips were turning purple, but she didn't want to get out of the water.
She was shivering, but kept going deeper! She is a brave little girl. I guess she really is a pisces.
She loved looking for leaves floating around in the water.
She was trying to look for the fishes. There were schools of them and some were pretty big. They swim very fast.
Splashing water with her feet.
Practicing her kicking legs.
Our surfer girl! And when she was done, she jumped off into the water.
Then she discovered the sea foam. She thought it was soap and started putting it all over her face.
Lexie is a mischievious girl because she grabbed a handful of sand and started smearing it all over my back.
Even though Lexie loves the beach and playing in the sand, she does not like it all over her feet. So once she's done, we have to wipe it off her.
Lexie chose this towel. She could have gotten a monkey or a frog and she chooses a shark!
Doesn't it look like Stitch took a bite of Lexie?
The rest of the weekend, we hung out at home and Lexie played in the yard.
Look at the way she's holding the ball and posing. Doesn't she look like a future basketball player? Don't know where she learns those moves!

  1. Oh that beach scene makes me so jealous! We still have plenty of snow on the ground here. Glad she enjoyed herself!
