Christmas Spirit

Lexie is full of the Christmas spirit. She's just oozing with it. Everything about the season makes her excited, except for Santa Claus. She's slowly starting to figure things out and is understanding more of the traditions of Christmas.

Lights are still her favorite part, so we make sure we drive pass Christmas Lane near our house whenever we can and she's always amazed at the beautiful decorations. She even recognizes one house that has Angry Birds. We have no clue how she knows what that is! We went to look at those lights tonight and she was just giddy with excitement. She said it was a celebration and couldn't stop laughing.

Lexie loves the stockings. Being in Hawaii, we have no fireplaces to hang them on, so we have to be creative and find somewhere to hang them. Lexie likes to find things around the house and puts them in the stockings.

Next year, we'll start "Elf on a Shelf" since Lexie doesn't have any Santa love. We didn't think she would like the idea of this little man watching her and then telling her that he's reporting back to the person she's trying her best to avoid.

It's 8 more days until Christmas. Shopping is done, presents are wrapped, and lots more fun things to do before the big day! Each year Lexie gets more excited about Christmas. I'm going to enjoy every minute of it because our little girl is sure growing up fast!
