The Joys of the Season

Christmas would be so much fun if we didn't have to hit the crowded malls to do our shopping. That's why Eric always tells me to shop online, but I need to see and touch what I'm going to buy, so even though it causes me a lot of stress, we tackle the malls. Lexie doesn't mind going because she gets to see all of the decorations. Hawaii tends to do their own version of Christmas. Like this menehune in his aloha shirt. He's the Hawaiian version of an elf.
Lexie likes all of the ornaments and lights. The bigger the tree, the prettier it is.
Lexie rode the candy cane train with her friends.
Lexie loves trains and listening to Christmas songs. She likes to sing "Jingle Bells."
Another mall, another train. Lexie will tell you that this train was smaller and it was on tracks, while the candy cane train was bigger and didn't have tracks.
Lexie was excited that her friend, Mika was coming for a visit. These two girls are the best of friends and they get along really well. Lexie thinks that Mika is her big sister.
We took Mika's family to Valley of the Temple and the girls had fun running around and feeding the koi fish.
Lexie loves Mika's brother Max. He's so patient with her.
We love spending the holidays with good friends!

  1. Oh my friend...such sweetness rolled into one blog! :) I have been a bit behind and how wonderful to peek back at all the comings & goings!

AND kids do prove that...at least where Christmas trees are concerned...that size does matter! LOL Unless its their own teeny tiny tree tucked into their bedrooms, then size matters not! :)

Just LOVED this!!!! LOVED it all!

P.S. This is Lisa C....not sure why, but having to post as plain old Anon.!
