Re-Adoption Accomplished

Today we dropped off the rest of Lexie's re-adoption paperwork. It's now out of our hands. Once the judge signs everything, we will be issued her adoption certificate and a Hawaii birth certificate with her American name. We weren't required to do this because all of our documents from Taiwan are perfectly acceptable forms of identification if we wanted to keep her Chinese name. By re-adopting Lexie, we now don't have to worry about having to contact the Taiwan government if we ever lose any of the original paperwork. And now everything that we sign for Lexie can say "Lexie".

We also dropped by our house today and we were so excited to see Lexie's bathroom. They finished putting the grout on the tiles in her bath tub. She has a beautiful limestone counter for her sink. And the flooring was put in. It looks amazing!

They're putting the finishing touches on the rest of the house and we hope to move in very soon. We may even be there in time to celebrate Lexie's 1st birthday on March 2nd! This is so exciting because this is what we've been dreaming of for such a long time...to have our beautiful daughter and living in our dream house. This is such a wonderful feeling!
