Saturday is Gymboree day and Lexie was not in a good mood, I guess it might have been because Ms. Erica wasn't there today. She was very fussy today and cried when we put her on the mat. She finally started to have fun when we put her on the slide. She amazed us today because this was the first time she climbed up the steps by herself. Usually we have to give her a little push, but today, she was so motivated to get her socks that were at the top of the steps, that she did it all by herself. Each time she went up, she did it faster.
By the end of the class, Lexie was enjoying herself. She's always happy when it's parachute time. She loves to ride in the middle of the parachute and actually cried when it stopped.
Lexie had her buddy Alia to play with today. They had to collect the balls and roll them down a ramp.
We also had a Chinese New Year treat. We were eating lunch and a lion dance troupe came into the restaurant. The lion came right up to Lexie and she wasn't afraid to put the envelope into its mouth. She was even getting excited hearing the drums.
We saw the lions again when we were walking through the mall. They were all different colors (yellow, pink, green, red and blue). They came right up to Lexie and she just smiled.
