Turkey Day Fun

We have been so busy that I finally squeezed in sometime on Thanksgiving to do an art project with Lexie. Since it required paint, we worked outside on the most windy day of the week. Lexie started by painting the paper. She chose red and pink, very girly colors. I tried to persuade her to use some autumn colors, but once this girl makes up her mind, there's no changing it.
The painting part didn't take too long because she got tired of painting on the paper and soon paint was on the table, her shirt and her jeans. Surprisingly, I didn't freak out! We went on to coloring which was definitely more controllable.
We let everything dry and then glued on the pictures after I cut them. And now that Thanksgiving is over, Lexie has a banner to hang for next year!
Lexie had lots of fun at Aunty Jodi's house. Her cousin Markie gave her some silly bandz.
She didn't quite understand that it's supposed to go around her wrist.

"Hey, Jade has a lot of silly bandz, she won't mind if I take one of them."
Lexie's favorite food of the night was ice! Even though her hands were frozen, she wanted to eat ice. She kept going back to the cooler to get more. And take a look at the little monkey, she probably would have climbed into the cooler if someone didn't come along to help her.
"Thank you Aunty Terry for playing with me. I had lots of fun! I really liked when you shared your strawberry shortcake with me."



On Black Friday, we stayed away from the malls, but still had to get up early to take Eric's car to get serviced. We spent time in the yard and Lexie wanted to help with the mowing. Now she truly is a diva to be mowing the lawn in her cowboy boots!
