Taipei Zoo & 101

Last night was a little better. Lexie slept from 9:30 until 3:30. Then woke up and we fed her a bottle and she fell back asleep until 7:00. It was great to be able to get some sleep. Lexie cries a little while she's sleeping, but if she's sleepy, she'll comfort herself and fall back to sleep.

We're so glad Lexie likes her stroller. She gets mad if you stop moving it and she likes when you shake it and she bounces around.



We're so happy that Lexie likes to wear hats and head bands because at least it'll hide her head until we get some hair growing. It's funny because she has this patch of hair that will stick up when she gets up.



Today we ventured on the MRT. It never fails, we always go on the train going in the wrong direction. We did the same thing in Vancouver, but once we figured it out, we were fine. The people in Taiwan love babies and they really cater to you. We got lost a few times at the zoo because we would go in exhibits and couldn't find the exit, it was like a maze, but workers there would take us out the back exit to get out.

The zoo was really big, better than Hawaii. Because H1N1 has made it to Taiwan, they take your temperature at the entrance.



Lexie slept for most of our visit to the zoo. It was really hot compared to yesterday.



Taiwan just got some pandas. There is usually a huge line to go in to see them. We were lucky that the zoo wasn't very crowded today. Doesn't the panda look like there's someone in a costume!

They have these cute statues that you can take pictures with all over the zoo.


We then travelled to Taipei 101, which is for now, the tallest building in the world.


Lexie and the damper baby. We went to the gift shop and she chose a little version of the damper baby. She wouldn't let it go. She loves to hold it and bite on it.


This is the view from the observatory. It was neat because they give special treatment whenever you have a baby. There was a line waiting to go up, but since we had Lexie, we were put to the front of the line. It was neat riding the elevator, it went up to the 88th floor in 37 seconds.


We ate lunch at Taipei 101's food court. Eric had a huge bowl of ramen for only $3 and I had beef stir fry & shrimp tempura for $4.50. The portions were huge. Lexie was getting tired so we ended up catching a taxi back to the hotel.

Wish us luck tonight that Lexie sleeps well. She hasn't pooped today so we might be back on the prune diet tomorrow.
