Couch Potato

Most of the time, Lexie is always on the go. When we go to Gymboree, she never stays in one place. She'll go from the slide, to the ramps, to the tunnels and then to run around on the mats. I've been asked if she's always like that. My answer is, "Pretty much, the only time she doesn't move is when she's sleeping."

At home, we can't keep track of where she is. One minute she'll be looking at books or playing with her toys, then we turn around and she's running to another room. Lexie recently figured out how to get on the couch, so her idea of fun is climbing on the couch and running back and forth on it, which is pretty scary. She's still a wobbly walker and she's even worse on an uneven couch. She has fallen off a few times. We told her the rule is, if she's on the couch, she has to sit down. Sometimes she'll follow that rule if she's interested in what's on tv, like "Sid."

On other days, she can become a total couch potato and will zone out in front of the tv with daddy.

Then, she realizes that lying on the couch is not a lot of fun and she's back to her "go, go, go" self again.
