Today, the little lady is 17 months old. She is growing so fast and is turning into such a big girl.Lexie had her first speech and physical therapy session today. She played a game where she had to put coins into a container and learned to say, "more". She also had to find things in a container of beans. We're also trying to get her to eat more fruits and gain some calories, so she had her first Jamba Juice. Lexie couldn't get enough of it. She tried Orange Dream and Strawberry Wild.

Lexie is a picky eater, in the sense that she loves what she loves. She eats all kinds of noodles and loves her mashed potatoes and gravy. Sometimes, I can hide some chicken or broccoli in it and maybe if I'm lucky, she won't spit it out.

Lexie is slowly beginning to use more words consistently. Her favorite word is cheese and now she'll say "ees" for please. She says ball, bok (blocks), wafo (waffles), baba (banana), and wawa (water). We were at the store and there was a red shirt with eyes and a nose on it. I asked her who that was and she said "amo". And she was right, it was Elmo. That's the first time she ever said his name.

Lexie loves Elmo. We were at Babies R Us and they have this furry Elmo chair. She climbed on to the shelf just so she could sit on it.

Lexie might be ready for some swimming lessons. This is the girl who hated the pool. Whenever we take a bath, she goes onto her tummy and starts kicking her legs and puts her face in the water and blows bubbles. I also have to watch out because sometimes she'll just lean backwards because she wants me to hold her head so she can float in the water.

Lexie loves to walk backwards. She will keep going until she hits something. She also tries to jump. Her top half is ready to go, but she only is able to lift up one foot. She loves to bounce on the couch, which can be a little scary.

Lexie loves to drink water. She drinks a lot during her mealtimes and she also likes to drink from her bath, the water hose and sometimes the dog dish.

Lexie is now such a kissy girl and we love it! She likes to throw kisses by putting her hand by her mouth and say "mmmmaaa". She tries to do it to Gohan, who wishes she would just leave him alone.

Lexie is starting to pretend play. We bought her some dishes and she likes to use her spoon to mix things. Then she will try to feed me or her stuffed animals. She even tries to feed Maxx.

Lexie still loves her books. We try to read 2 books each night. She picks one book and I'll pick the other one. She always picks "How Do I Love You" or "Count and Color Monsters". She will give it to me and open it up to her favorite pages. When we're done, she will put the books away.

Lexie is getting really good at cleaning up. Thank you, Gymboree!! When one of her dolls fell between her toy chest and the tv stand, she picked it up and put it away. She loves to carry our pictures frames around. One day, she lined them all up on her toy chest. She's so proud that she can do that because at first, she didn't understand how to open the stand in the back so the frames would stand up. She can also be carrying the frame upside down and will turn it around when she puts it back on the table.

Lexie loves phones. She knows how to put it by her ear and will say "hello." She was playing with her toy phone and it was hilarious watching her. It was like she was having a conversation with someone and that person was making her really mad!

It was an amazing summer to be able to watch this beautiful girl explore and experience new things. I am forever grateful to be this sweetie's mommy. I love all that you will be and everything you are! Lexie, you are such a blessing in our lives!
