We finally got to go to the park to fly Lexie's kites. Our backyard just wasn't cutting it. Before we took out the kites, Lexie wanted to slide. She loved how fast it went. She even decided to lie on her stomach and go down. She was laughing all the way!

Then, she just wanted to pose and take pictures. Very unusual of her, especially since she didn't ask for any M&M's. She would play, then stop and strike a pose.

We went into the big field to fly Lexie's kites. At first, she wasn't interested and daddy did most of the flying. She just wanted to run around and would look up at the kite and yell "Kite!"

Then, the wind picked up and that kite went pretty high in the sky. This caught Lexie's attention and she wanted to hold on to the kite.

She was very excited to hold on to the string and with that iron grip of hers, she did not let the kite go.

That kite kept going higher and higher and it was pulling Lexie. That teeny, tiny girl refused to let go. She finally said, "All done!" and gave it back to Eric. Even he had to fight to get that kite down to the ground.

We had Lexie use her Ariel kite because that one doesn't go as high and it was easier for her to control.

I don't think she liked it as much as the other one because she pulled it down and wanted to go home.
