50th State Fair

This was the 2nd year that we've taken Lexie to the fair. She was very excited about going because she loves carnival rides. Thank you to Aunty Lorna for getting us the wristbands. It was totally worth it even though the weather wasn't very cooperative. We brought Lexie's stroller in case she got tired, but once we got into the fair, she wanted out of it. She only sat in it once to eat her snack. Lexie was such a big girl that night.

Let's go ride!!

One of Lexie's favorite rides was the giant slide. We went on it 3 times.

The first time I took Lexie on it, the slide was a bit wet. I didn't expect it to be so fast and then when we got to the bottom, we didn't exactly come to a stop. I thought we were going to fly into the barriers. I had to dig my feet into the padding to slow down.

Lexie loved it and was all smiles! Her words were "AGAIN!"

Lexie rode a mini roller coaster with Daddy. It went pretty fast. Lexie was very brave, but she didn't like this ride. There was an older boy who started crying when he got off the ride and the look that Lexie gave him was hilarious. It was like, "Come on, suck it up, it wasn't that bad!"

Even though she didn't like the roller coaster, she still had a big smile on her face everytime she passed me.

We went on these little race cars. Lexie wasn't too crazy about this one either. It was fine until it turns the corners and then it gives you whiplash.

We took a break to play some games. I was lucky enough to win Lexie a giraffe and I'm honored that now he sleeps with her and the doggie that I won at last year's fair!

By far, Lexie's favorite ride was the merry-go-round. We went on it 3 times. She didn't want us to hold her, but we did because there's no seat belt. And she didn't want me to stand by her. Lexie would tell me, "Mommy ride horse." So I had to ride next to her.

Lexie's face was just pure joy every time we rode this merry-go-round. Her smile and laughter made this such a special night. And that's when Eric finally said that Lexie is ready for Disneyland and he can't wait to see her face when she goes on those rides.
