Father's Day

Eric was meant to be Lexie's daddy. He had major doubts when we were in Taiwan and wasn't sure he was ready for this lifetime commitment, but this little girl won his heart and he can't imagine life without her.

Lexie is the apple of her daddy's eye and the feeling is quite mutual. From the moment, Eric first held Lexie, a bond formed between them. He was the one who comforted Lexie through her grief and was able to get her first giggles out of her.

When Lexie would wake up in the middle of the night, Eric would rock her to sleep. For the first month, we put one of Eric's shirts in her crib and she used it as a blanket. His scent seemed to comfort her while she slept. To this day, he still tucks Lexie in at night.

Lexie knows that daddy can be strict, but that he's also a big softie. She knows how to give him that smile or say something that will make daddy's frown turn upside down. And the best thing about daddy is that he doesn't treat Lexie like a fragile doll. She loves all of the rough horseplay and laughs and screams as she yells, "AGAIN!"
Happy Father's Day Eric!! You are an awesome dad to Lexie, Maxx and Gohan!! I knew you would be!
