The countdown begins! We have 5 weeks to go and we'll be in Taiwan to pick up our precious daughter. Now, we have to hope and pray that we can get airline tickets. Right now, we're okay to leave Taiwan, but the flight we want to be on from Honolulu is going for $1800 (I'm hoping that's both of our airfares). We're being waitlisted right now for a lower fare.
At this point, we can't book our flight yet because we're still waiting for confirmation from Taiwan on our appointments. The longer we wait, the less chance we may even have to get on that $1800 flight and we also need to work with our agency's travel agent and can't make reservations on our own, so our hands are tied right now.
It's all very frustrating because in the eyes of the law, we're Lexie's mommy and daddy, but we can't get her until we get the okay. And now it's Saturday in Taiwan, so nothing will be resolved until Monday! We hope!!! If we can just book our airlines, then that'll be one thing we can cross off our list of a million things to do in the next 5 weeks!
