Aunty Jodi got Lexie a Kai-Lan coloring book for Easter. We've been waiting for the right time to let Lexie finally color in it. She liked looking at the pictures and carrying the book around the house, but she just wasn't ready to color. Whenever we gave Lexie a pen, it usually went straight into her mouth or she didn't know which way to draw on the paper. Then, she would get mad if we tried to turn the pen the right way.
Today seemed the right time to finally open that box of crayons and let her give coloring a try. Eric sat with her and showed her the colors. Lexie picked which one she wanted to use.
Lexie kind of got the idea of coloring. We'll keep practicing. We have all summer!
