This has been the summer that we have been waiting for. The first summer that we have with our Lexie girl. The days are flying by, so we're making sure that we make the most of each day. What exactly have we been doing?
This summer is about family time. We've been going to Gymboree music and play classes. We went to the zoo and plan to go a few more times. Lots of trips to the mall just to walk or to get some fruits and veggies at the open market. We hope to go to the park so Lexie can ride on a swing (she loved swinging on the tire at Gymboree).
There's always stuff that aren't as fun but need to get done. We finally sorted all of our junk (I mean treasures) for our garage sale. We gave the house a good cleaning, but we still have to tackle the overgrown weeds and plumeria trees on our hill. We were so thrilled to finally get a picnic table for our backyard. It took us 2 hours to put it together and then we noticed that the leg holding up the bench was not welded together, so the bench slides down everytime you sit on it. We had to take it apart and fit it back in the box and now we have to lug it back to return it. To make matters worse, my back is sunburned from putting that thing together.
Nana has been watching Lexie so Eric and I can have a little couple time together. We actually saw a movie. If you like the Mummy or Indiana Jones, then the Prince of Persia won't leave you disappointed. We even found a good place to eat mochiko chicken if you're ever in Kaneohe. And it's been nice having a quiet meal just the two of us, even if it's just to eat a burger.
Time flies so enjoy each day to the fullest. Take some advice from Lexie. Always hug the ones you love.

Laugh often and laugh loud!

damn picnic table from costco... lifetime picnic table needs to weld better. but it was funny, us trying to put this heavy thing together. when life gives you lemons, go to hotdog on a stick and drink a frozen lemonade!
