Happy New Year!

Having Lexie with us is such a great way to start a new decade! We had ozoni for breakfast this morning. We drink this mochi soup to bring us good luck and a healthy life. We gave Lexie a little taste and she loved it. She ate 4 spoonfuls.

We went to church to be blessed. Lexie was just fascinated with all of the people. She was really good today because she had a late lunch, but didn't fuss once. She even caught a little shut eye during the car ride between churches.

Lexie rang the bell for good luck.

Eric read Lexie her fortune. She had an excellent fortune and it also mentioned how she is going to have a good life because cherry blossoms will be blooming soon. We kept this fortune because Lexie's Chinese name means cherry blossoms so we thought this fortune was meant for her.

Behind us, people tie fortunes to the trees if they feel it won't bring them good luck for the new year. If you have a good fortune, then you keep it.

After our day at church, it was a time for mom and dad's favorite drink - ICEE!!! Lexie loves to touch the cup because it's cold. If you look at Lexie's wrist, she finally has her own bling! Aunty Joy made her a cute bracelet with her name on it. She loves to wear it!

We were so proud of Lexie today. It was a long day, but she handled it like a pro. Her favorite part of the day was listening to people ring the bell. She couldn't keep her eyes off the bell and got excited every time someone shook it.
