Today we went to the First Circuit Court to start the re-adoption process. This isn't required since Lexie became our daughter once the Taiwan courts made the final ruling. By re-adopting her, we can legally change her name and she will get a Hawaii birth certificate, so that we don't have to worry if her Taiwan paperwork gets lost.
This was a stressful process and I've postponed doing it for the past 2 months. I was even going to hire an adoption lawyer because the paperwork involved in re-adopting was just as overwhelming as adopting Lexie. Now that we have filed the correct forms and mailed copies to the right people, we have to wait for the post office to send us the return receipts and then we have to take more forms back to the court. It will take about 2 months before we receive her adoption decree and birth certificates.
Lexie also visited the cardiologist today. She was such a good girl, considering she didn't have a nap. She let the nurse attach all of the wires for the EKG and she didn't move once. Then she sat very still on Eric's lap when the doctor did the ultra sound on her heart. We got good news and bad news. The bad news is the hole is still there, but considering she has grown in the past 2 months, the hole hasn't gotten bigger. Our doctor said that's a good sign, so we hope for more good news in 6 months. We were also happy that Lexie gained 6 ounces. We hope that she'll be 15 pounds by her 1st birthday.
Lexie likes to put all of her crackers into her mouth.

"Crackers make me happy!"

"I don't like when Daddy dresses me. I look like a Teletubbie!"

"Now I look like my cute self!"

Lexie likes to dance and does the motions to her favorite song "If You're Happy".
