All Aboard!!

One of Lexie's favorite shows is Dinosaur Train. She loves dinosaurs and there's a page in one of her books that she always turns to because it has a picture of dinosaurs. We thought it would be fun to go to Pearlridge because they have a dinosaur display and a little train to ride on.

We rode on the monorail. It kind of brought back memories of Taiwan. This time Lexie could enjoy the ride. She slept in her stroller when we rode the MRT in Taiwan.

Since the train was just for children, Lexie had to ride by herself. We were a little worried about that. Eric strapped her in, but she started to cry and didn't want Eric to leave her. We didn't want her to have a traumatic experience, so one of the workers told us to bring her back later. To kind of prep her for the ride, we let Lexie watch the other children on the train and she got to run around a bit. When I took her into the waiting area, she headed straight for the gate, so we knew she was ready to ride.

Each child had assigned seats, so I made sure that Lexie had a seat where she could lean against the back of the cart. I strapped her in this time and she was very busy looking at the dinosaurs, so she didn't notice when I left. Also, there was this cute boy sitting behind her that was keeping her occupied by talking to her.

The train started going and Lexie was just amazed. It was totally worth $3. Even though the train only went in a figure 8, it must have gone around about 5 times. There were also lots of workers to watch the little children. They were keeping an eye on one boy who was crying.

Lexie was so good when she was riding. She didn't move and just sat in her seat.

Everytime she passed by us, she would either wave or smile at us.

The dinosaurs didn't scare her one bit.

Lexie was just relaxing and enjoying the ride!

Lexie is a sloucher when she sits, but the workers were getting worried that she was going to slide off the train. The train stopped for a little while so they could straighten her out and make sure her legs were strapped in.

You have to remember for the first 8 months of her life, she didn't know what a harness or seatbelt was. She wasn't too happy to be strapped down to that seat.

Lexie kind of just sat there and tolerated the rest of the ride.

We were so proud of Lexie for riding the train all by herself. We are trying to train her and get her used to these rides so that in a few years we can go to Disneyland!!
