She also got to hang on the monkey bars! Her favorite thing to do!

We also got to see a lot of the animals up close. There was a tiger just resting by the window.

Another family had come by after us, but the tiger walked away. I guess he only wanted to pose with these pretty little girls.

Lexie was just fascinated by the fishes.

This was the first time she went through the tunnel by herself. Thank you, Gymboree! It's really hard to crawl after her in that tiny space.

Lexie loves those goats. She had to go up to each one and pet them and give them some of her Lexie loving!

This girl is just an animal lover and being close to animals always makes her happy and puts a smile on her face.

Even though our zoo is not the greatest and there isn't much to do there, we spent 3 hours there. The animals are always amazing and many of them came really close to us. The baboon came right up to the window. We got to see Bobbles, the gifted meerkat, fall over. It was cute, but a little sad. The llama kept following us and looked like he was about to spit. Then, this ostrich looked like he wanted to walk across the ditch and start pecking at us. He must have just taken a bath. His feathers were so clean. Up close, these guys are really big!

Who would think that you could see a rhinocerus with Diamond Head in the background?

This was one of the rare times that Eric and Greg (who are supposed to be professional photographers) did not bring their cameras. So they had to rely on us amateurs to get the pictures. That's probably why all of the animals were out and posing! But if Eric brought his camera, I wouldn't be able to get a Lexie and daddy shot like this!

The last time we visited the zoo, Alia and Lexie were not walking yet. It was fun this time to see them running around and enjoying the zoo together. We hope to go again real soon!

it would be that the time we don't bring our big fancy cameras, all the animals want to come close. but it was okay, lexie, alia, and seth loved seeing all of the animals up close. and it is funny how fast lexie is growing up. from not walking at the zoo to running and playing.
ReplyDeletewe have to get ourselves to the zoo. I have a major animal lover and we just have not made it there yet.
ReplyDeleteLexie is just too, too cute!!!
